Membership obligations of the club

 

1. To abide by the regulations, guidelines and amendments as set out and agreed on by the club

2. To promote the good spirit and fellowhip amongst all motorcyclists

3. To respect the safety and property of all motorcyclist and the general public

4. To abide by the law and maintain a reasonable standard  of behavior

5. To support fellow members of the mororcycling community

6. Loyalty and support is at the discretion of each individual member

7. Each club member shall be under the following obligations:

a: Regular attendance of club meetings

b: Prompt payment of fees

c: Participaitn in club activities

d: when leaving the club full colours to be handed in.

8.     All members shall be obligated to conduct themselves in a manner reflecting the           image of the club at all times

9.     Any change of contact information shall be send to the secretary

10.   All members are to make sure all motorcycles are roadworthe an have a valid                 motorcycle license

 

 

Discilpline of members of the club

 

The failure of any member/s to abide by the regulations, guidelines and amendments as set out and agreed upon by the club shall result in the following action: 

a: The immediate notification in writing to the member disregard for regulations and/ or 

guidelines / or amendments

b: Such notification shall request the following action to be taken depending on the nature and frequency of incidents:

A formal apology to the club by the individual member of members to the club

 

Denying entry to the club

 

Termination of membership to the club

Fees paid will not be refundable

 

 Unruly behavior by members at a function will result in the club committeeapproaching the member/s and deal with the situation in a

disciplinary way

Any member who fails to meet with the membership obligations or requirements of the club shall be suspended or have its membership terminated

 

 

 

Termination of membership of the club

 

Only a 50% plus one vote taken at a legitmate club meeting may decide on the termination of a member.  The club President with the National President shall chair this meeting.

If any member terminates their membership, they forfeit all benefits and privileges provided by the club with immediate effect, fees paid will not be refundable

 

 

Committee structure of the club

 

President 

1.  Manage daily running of the club

2. Chair at all meetings (or delegate one of the committee members to chair the meeting) and be as impartially as possible

3. Shall uphold the club constitution

4. Be responsible for accurate statements on behalf  of the club

5. President or National President and his wife have a casting vote in case of a split decision

6. President or National President and his wife will monitor management and finances of the club

7. Represent the club at meeting with other clubs or councils

 

 

 

Vise President

1. Assist the President with management of the club

2. Assist the President with disciplinary related issues

3. Act as ambassador of the club

4. Assist any member where possible

5. Control the distribution of event and promotional flyers at meetings

 

 

Treasurer

1. Provide financial statements at all monthly meetings

2. Attend to all day to day running of club

3. Collect all outstanding membership fees

 

 

Secretary

1. Responsible for all admin work an general secretarial duties

2. Will keep the President informed and ensures relevant communication flow to the club committee

3. To take minutes of all monthly and special meetings

4. Disseminate communicaton from the club to all members

5. Ensure that all club events are properly organized well in advance

6. Liase all activities and planned events

7. Control attendace register of meetings

 

 

Road captain

1. Co-ordinate all mass rides and take charge of the group until arrival at the destination

2. Will guide the group in a manner consistent with the objectives and guidelines as stated

3. Will brief other assigned Road Captains an Tail Runners as to route, responsibilities and other details to the ride prior to departure (last meeting before run)

4. Will conduct riders briefing prior to departure

5. Will make sure during ride that all the riders is still with group before continue ride

6. Will be responsible for the final decision with regard to ride termination due to inclement weather, hazardous conditions or other difficult or unsafe conditions

7. Will instruct any rider to ride in specific positon within the group, or leave the group entirely for reasons of misconduct, disorderly or unsafe riding or faulty/unsafe equiptment. Common sense should be used

8. Insure a well maintained first aid kid is present

9. Will establish and maintain a uniform speed consistent with the ability of the least experienced driver, and with consideration of safe road conditions, traffic and weather conditions

10. Will maintain the standard formation of a staggered double row, in one traffic lane, just to the left of lane centre

11. Will maintain a safe following distance by using the minimum 3 second rule between the group and any vehicle ahead

12. Will command the group to a single file formation when they cannot maintain visual control of the road conditions ahead

 

 

 

Club committee authority

 

1. The club management shall have the power to nominate other members should it be deemed necessary to serve on the committee, but with the authority of both founder members

2. The club committee is only a voice of its members

3. All decisions made by the club committee at special meetings that are not pertaining to the club as a whole are final and binding with the authority of the founder members

4. Any committee member who is absent from more than one consecutive meeting of the committee without notice shall cease to be a monnittee member, provided that the committee may grant leave of absence from not more than 3 (three consecutive ordinary meetings of the committee, only the founder members will be able to address these absent matters
